FanX Convention Salt Lake City – Friday, 9/26/2025 – Sunday, 9/28/2025
Among the most remarkable events that happened at the FanX Convention in Salt Lake City was the Sliders reunion panel on 9/28/2025 at 6:00 p.m.
The Sliders Reunion panel featured a full question and answer session from Cleavant Derricks, John Rhys-Davies, and Jerry O’Connell. Sabrina Lloyd wanted to be here so badly but had family conflicts and could not attend.
Cleavant, John, and Jerry all said they are fully on board with a Sliders reboot. John explained that his idea includes starting out with the original sliders, but then along the way maybe they pick up 2 or 3 younger sliders to join them, as the original cast – maybe – moves on to other things. Unless the new show is wildly successful. *wink* He believes the end of show should end on a cliffhanger like it did previously, so that networks 20 years from now will think about rebooting it and we can begin the adventure again.
Fans worldwide have started the Bring Back Sliders petition. Although the numbers now are at just over 5,000, to see Sliders return and to get things into that territory, all hands on deck are needed to create a fever-pitch audience who is ready to watch, and it needs to be much, much higher. Are you ready to help bring back Sliders?
